Short version: Songwright uses your melody and prompt to write your lyrics, and does nothing else with them. There is no account, no ad tracking, and nothing is sold.
To turn a melody into lyrics, Songwright sends the following to its own server, and from there to the AI model that writes the lines (Anthropic's Claude):
These are used only to generate the lyric lines you asked for. They are not used to build a profile of you, and Songwright does not attach them to your identity, because it does not know your identity.
If you choose to use your own Anthropic API key, it is stored only in your browser's local storage on your device and sent directly with your own requests. It is never stored on Songwright's servers.
If you send feedback from inside the app, the message you write (and nothing else you didn't type) is stored so we can read and act on it. It is not linked to an account.
Lyric generation is performed by Anthropic. Your melody and prompt are processed under Anthropic's API terms to return the lines, and are not used to train their models.
