Songwright turns a melody into lyrics whose stressed syllables land on the strong beats. Here's how to get the most out of it.

How do I start?

Drop in a MIDI file, hum a line, or tap the demo melody. Songwright maps the strong beats, then you type a mood and it writes lines that fit. Open Songwright →

The beats look wrong. Can I fix them?

Yes. Tap any beat to flip it between strong and weak. The lyrics are written against your edited version, so your call always wins.

Why did I get fewer lines than expected?

Every candidate line is checked against a pronunciation dictionary. Lines whose stresses don't land on the strong beats are filtered out before you see them, so a few may not make the cut. Tap "try other lines" for a fresh set.

The "hum it" feature isn't hearing me.

Give your browser permission to use the microphone, hum a single clear line (one note at a time), and keep background noise down. On a phone, remember the hardware mute switch also silences playback.

What does it cost?

Your first 5 lyric sets are free. After that, Songwright Pro is $9.99/month or $79.99/year for unlimited lyrics. Scansion, editing, and playback are always free.
