Outpost One Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 3, 2026
The Short Version
The sign-up form takes your email so we can tell you when the first-look playtest opens. That's all it's for. There's no account, no ads and no tracking, and we never sell or share your data.
Signing up for the playtest
The form on blackbeaconstudios.net/outpost-one sends:
- Your email.
- Your X handle, or how you heard about the game, only if you fill that box in.
- Where you came from, if you arrived through a link that names a source (for example, an X post).
- Your browser's language setting.
It's stored in a private database hosted by Supabase, our backend provider. The page can only add a sign-up; it can never read one back. We use your email to send you one message when the first-look playtest opens, plus any follow-up about that playtest you agree to. To be removed, email us and we'll delete it.
When you play the playtest
The playtest build records how the game is played so we can fix what's confusing: things like which step you're on, where you stopped, keys that did nothing, and errors. It also records the browser and window size. It's tied to a random run ID, not to your name or email. We'll describe it again on the playtest page before you play.
What we don't do
- No advertising, no third-party analytics, no tracking across sites.
- No selling or sharing of your data, ever.
Children
The playtest isn't directed at children under 13.
