DATASTORM Privacy Policy

The Short Version

DATASTORM has no account and no sign-up, and your game progress stays on your device. Two things involve data leaving your device: the ads the game shows (served by Google AdMob), and feedback you choose to send us. Both are described below. You can decline ad tracking and still play everything.

What's Stored On Your Device

Your progress — upgrades, currency, unlocks, and best scores — is stored on your device (and, if you have iCloud enabled, in your own iCloud account). We never receive it.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

DATASTORM shows ads served by Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect a device advertising identifier, ad-interaction and usage data, a coarse location estimated from your IP address, and diagnostic information such as crash and performance data. This data may be used for third-party advertising, advertising measurement, and analytics, and — where you allow it — for personalized ads.

On first launch the app asks for your permission to use your advertising identifier (Apple's App Tracking Transparency). You can decline and still play everything — you'll simply see less relevant ads. You can change this any time in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking. If you'd rather have no ads at all, the in-app Remove Ads purchase turns them off. Google's handling of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy; see also How Google uses information from partner apps.

Feedback You Send (Optional)

If you use the SEND FEEDBACK option in the game's settings, the message you write is sent to us, along with basic technical details that help us act on it: the app version and build, your iOS version, your device model (for example "iPhone16,2"), and your language setting. If you add your email address — which is optional and clearly marked — we use it only to reply to you, and for nothing else. We never send your game progress or anything else from the app. If you leave the email field blank, your feedback is anonymous. Feedback is stored in a private database that only we can read; it is not sold, shared, or used for advertising. Email us at toddkedwards@gmail.com if you would like a piece of feedback deleted.

Game Center (Optional)

If you use the leaderboard, your score and Game Center nickname are handled by Apple's Game Center, governed by the Apple Privacy Policy. This is optional.

In-App Purchases

Purchases (such as Remove Ads and Black Market items) are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles all payment information; we never see or store your payment details.

Children

DATASTORM is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your region) and does not knowingly collect their data.

Your Choices

• Decline ad tracking at the permission prompt, or any time in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
• Remove ads entirely with the in-app Remove Ads purchase.
• Delete the app to erase all locally stored progress.
• Ask us to delete feedback you sent, by emailing toddkedwards@gmail.com.

Changes

If we update this policy, we'll change the date above and post the new version.
